Charlotte Country Club is hosting the 2018 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship on September 22-27, with Carolina Golf Club as our stroke play co-host. The event will have two days of practice rounds, 36 holes of medal play, and four days of match play. Not only is the nature of this event unique, but the Mid-Am Champion traditionally receives an invitation to play in the Masters and an exemption for the U.S. Open.

The Mid-Am Committee is recruiting over 600 volunteers to work 1,200 different shifts for this wonderful event. If you have volunteered for a national golf championship before, you can attest to the amount of help needed to run a flawless, memorable championship. We need your help!

Volunteer registration has officially launched. You can register by clicking here and filling out the application.

Later this spring, the committee will begin making volunteer assignments, giving priority to early sign-up volunteers. Register now and be able to pick your top choices before your favorite volunteer opportunities get filled up.

Please know that upon registering, you will be charged $75 for the cost of the volunteer uniform. The volunteer registration website takes credit cards.

Additional information regarding the 2018 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship is available on the USGA website.
